Why did I write this book?

Over twenty-three years in the church, I have heard numerous people say they did not know how to read through the Bible from cover to cover without it taking years to complete. 

One day, as I finished my daily devotions, I began to compile a book that would help people read the Bible from cover to cover within a year, and year after year. I started to break down the scriptures by number, book, and verse within 365 days. Then broke it up into four sections so each day has something from the Old Testament, Psalms as a daily song, Proverbs as a daily dose of wisdom, and New Testament, along with some commentary for the Old and New Testaments that can be completed within twenty to thirty minutes a day in most cases. 

I finished it by starting with a short Bible history, the genealogy of Jesus, Apostle Paul's timeline for the Epistles and his journeys, the order of the disciples that Jesus called, and a list of the kings that reigned over Israel and Judah. 

Even as the author, this book is part of my daily scripture reading and Bible study. I love how I can follow the daily scripture readings to read the Bible in a year. Then I can add to the Bible study by researching any part God wants me to expand on.
